Il Divo - Regressa Mi (Unbreak My Heart)

*Ahh, my disappointment, after writing the review, to find this isn't being released as a CD single. However, it is out as a DVD package, to which the catalogue number and Amazon link refer.*

The result of a global talent search, Il Divo are David Miller (USA), Sebastian Izambard (France), Urs Buhler (Switzerland) and Carlos Marin (Spain). That Simon Cowell's Syco Music is behind this is all you need to know. "Excellent idea!", you can almost hear him say, "how about a fusion of Westlife and The Three Tenors, and let's make the first single a cover of Toni Braxton's 'Unbreak My Heart' in Italian?" In an ideal world, the answer of course would be "F*ck off", but really this has everything to make those cash registers ring: horrifically drippy production, faux class (hey, it's opera), and four singing beefcakes (exclusively dressed by Giorgio Armani).

Regressa Mi is further proof, should it be required, that an injunction is required to prevent Mr Cowell going anywhere near the music industry. Crap in any language.
