Mother and the Addicts - Who Art You Girls

Crack babies aside, there are other connotations to be made from hearing ‘Mother’ and ‘Addicts’ in the one sentence. Sam Smith, aka Mother, and band have cooked up an artful mix of Dr Feelgood pub rock and wholesome rock’n’roll, and it’s good, in fact, it is so good that for better or worse, you would think you were listening to a band from that scene of that time.

Out as a 7” inch in groovy coloured vinyl, this single has some crazy B-Sides, including a nonsensical monologue offsetting the perfect execution of Who Art You Girls.

Glasgow based, Mother and the Addicts have supported a plethora of bands, namely Belle and Sebastian, Sons and Daughters, Sluts of Trust and Park Attack and are label buddies with the Delgados on Chemikal Underground Records.
