Skindred - The HMV Forum, London
Last year was the first time I had encountered Skindred live, and I (like the rest of the audience at the Forum) was hoping to be witness to another of their infamous, high adrenaline performances. But first, support came from the Blackpool five-piece Me vs. Hero who appeared to have quite a few fans in, and American post-hardcore band Chiodos.
Skindred's fourth album, Union Black was released last month, and tonight was the last night of their UK tour. The fans were treated to a full hour and a half set, with the show being filmed for live broadcast on SCUZZ TV. They started off their set with a classic song from their debut album Babylon it all began to kick off big-style. Benji Webb is a frontman that definitely knows how to deliver, and he really is up there on the list of best of the UK's best rock frontmen. Those with tickets for this year's Download are most definitely in for a good time.
