Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows
Whilst they might be best known for their fiery frontman Craig Owens, who was kicked out of his previous project Chiodos and until recently was battling drug and alcohol addiction, Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows (or simply D.R.U.G.S as they're being marketed) prove that they are definitely a band worth listening to on their self-titled debut. Produced by John Feldmann (All Time Low, Panic! At The Disco), the angst-ridden record sees Owens get very personal, with direct lyrics reflecting on his chaotic past - ‘Mr. Owl Ate My Metal Worm’ and ‘I’m Here To Take The Sky’ being prime examples. Musically the post-hardcore rockers are on top form, the bolshy blend of rampant riffs and satanic-like screams with complex keyboards and melodic clean choruses sounds superb, especially on lead single ‘If You Think This Song Is About You, It Probably Is’ and ‘Laminated E.T. Animal’. Sure to leave listeners on a high.
