Azuli is the world renowned Dance music label that was ultimately credited with the growth of House music in the UK over 15 years ago. Widely regarded as the cornerstone label in the UK house scene, Azuli built a sound reputation for presenting quality Dance music with every release. It was not just the tunes that was giving it kudos but its famous events that were over attended and widely celebrated. Later the label became a formidable force in Ibiza, hosting Fridays at Space and their infamous secret beach parties. In London they were a consistent presence at The Cross, the former legendary venue now awarded cult status. Now Azuli’s reputation for presenting the best of underground House and club culture returns with a label relaunch and a brand new strategy for 2011.

It’s fair to say that the label has undergone a complete overhaul emerging with a new A & R in the form of the talented Dutch DJ and club scenester Ricky Rivaro. Rivaro has pledged to perpetuate the label’s original philosophy of continuing to release quality underground dance music from some of the world's foremost producers and re-mixers. With this change comes a brand new look, new international club events, new album projects and a release schedule already jammed with forthcoming single releases.

The first big project is the next in the Global Guide series, a series that has a concrete reputation of bringing us razor-sharp club cuts. This mix is guaranteed to satisfy the appetite of all the existing fans of the label and will surely win new ones. Packed with upfront tracks and remixes including Bass Kleph and Filthy Ritch, The Shapeshifters, Nouveau Yorican, Chris Lake, Macro Lys and Wally Lopez.

The mix wastes no time setting up the main room vibe featuring the work of brand new producers Roul & Doors alongside established talent such as Sidney Sampson and Sandy Rivera all of which feature exclusive tracks on this album. Also check out the rework of the Azuli classic by Chris Lake & Marco Lys ‘Cross The Line’ made available for the first time on the this compilation.
