First listen: Beady Eye's 'Bring The Light'

Liam Gallagher's band Beady Eye make their debut single 'Bring The Light' available as a free download from this morning (10 November 10)

The song will be available for free from their official website, http://www.Beadyeyemusic.com It is also being released on 7-inch vinyl with B-side 'Sons Of The Stage' via the same site.

First listen suggests Liam and co. (the band features Oasis' Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell (who switched to the role of guitarist) and drummer Chris Sharrock) have retained their love of 60s influenced material, trading The Beatles for The Rolling Stones this time around. The driving piano gives the track some real momentum, but it's also the kind of thing Ocean Colour Scene still knock out in their sleep.

No real surprises then, but a solid first effort.
