Pegasus Bridge - While We’re Young

While We’re Young is the debut mini-album from a band who’ve already gained good exposure on Radio 1 and plaudits to match - and it’s easy to see why. They’re fighting for space in a crowded market but this slice of indie pop-punk shows maturity in songcraft that few bands achieve so early in their career. 'Ribena' and 'While We’re Young' catch you immediately with their strong rhythms and hooks, while final track 'Paris' surprises with a more melancholic feel that works just as well as the other more upbeat offerings. Stand out, though, is 'Yoko' with its thoroughly tongue-in-cheek lyrics. 2010 has been a great year for the four lads from around Macclesfield and, on the basis of While We’re Young, 2011 looks set to be even better.
