TMF wins at the BT Digital Music Awards!

On 30th September, The Music Fix won the BT Digital Music Award in the “People’s Choice” Best Blog category. The website was voted into first place by its readers against some very strong competition.

The BT Digital Music Awards was established in 2001 to recognise the pioneers in the then fledgling digital and online music industry. The Music Fix was launched in 2009, rising from the ashes of an earlier site.

After the awards ceremony, site manager Colin Polonowski said, “It was a surprise to find out we were shortlisted - and it was an even bigger shock to discover we had won.”

“The site is a team effort and it’s a testament to the people who work tirelessly to bring readers the most wide-ranging and up-to-date music news and reviews possible. And we mustn’t forget to thank every one of those readers who took the time to vote for us over the last two months.”

Other winners on the night included Cheryl Cole picking up two awards for Best Female Artist and Best Singer, JLS also took away two for Best Group and Best Video. Tinnie Tempah, Professor Green and Robbie Williams also took away awards. Live performances by Marina and the Diamonds, Professor Green, Ne-yo and Tinnie Tempah completed what was a very eventful ceremony.
