Shush reveal the Soundtrack of their Lives

Soundtrack of My Life is the debut album from London alt-rockers Shush. Fronted by vocalist Milena Yum, Shush have a front woman of the highest order. Having toured for almost a decade with bands such as Antiproduct and Marky Ramone, played at amazing events such as Ozzfest, Beautiful Day, Rock and Blues and Bulldog Bash - she’s a seasoned professional that offers a refreshing take on female fronted rock. In turn, guitarist Andy Brook has established himself as a producer working with bands such as King Blues, Million Dead, New Found Glory, Breed 77, Vince Ray, TAT, The Loyalties, and The Grit.

As a follow-up to 2008’s self titled EP,Soundtrack of My Life's opener (and lead single) ‘Do What I Want’ makes for a powerful, incredibly catchy and telling track from a band having a huge amount of fun with their sound. Riff heavy, with exploding drums, this sets the bar for the whole record. ‘Got Caught In The Act’ hits the nail on the head, striking up that aggressive yet melodic quality that Shush have built for themselves.

The record’s title track straddles The Wildhearts, Foo Fighters and Hole, while closer ‘You Will Never Get’, in complete contrast, is a fast paced, tongue in cheek, anthemic blast of aggression. Soundtrack of My Life is a ballsy debut for fans of driving, distinctly UK, rock that takes no prisoners.
