Imbogodom - The Metallic Year

Imbogodom sees Alexander Tucker and Daniel Beban teaming up to explore endless sonic possibilities and the wonders of splicing together tape; The Metallic Year is in some ways a tribute to the art and the ways in which it can be used to create truly eerie and ghostly atmosphere. 'Unseen Ticket' sees Tucker's trademark cello mixed with melancholy piano, subtle plucks of a banjo and an undercurrent of beautiful uneasiness. Voices swim in and out of fuzzy synths and distorted strings on 'Of The Cloth', while 'Bvsh Hovse Ghost' sees the duo experimenting with a plethora of different sounds in a sparse and distant space as Tucker's voice chants in the background. This is an LP that can bring both wonder and pleasure to your ears and is a worthy addition to Tucker's already gleaming catalogue.
