diskJokke - En Fin Tid

If you’re familiar with fellow Oslo resident Lindstrøm (or indeed any number of recent chill out or Balearic compilations), you’ll have some idea of what to expect from diskJokke. With its lack of vocals, long, indulgent tracks and twists, En Fin Tid is electronic music (influenced by Italo disco and ambient) that requires much the same patience as jazz. Indeed, by the time the disc reaches the end, you may just feel like you’ve completed a bit of an odyssey. DiskJokke’s music is more about warmth and atmosphere than dancing (unless you can dance in slow motion), so only really 'Big Flash' and 'Bastard Alliance' here break into a sweat. You may be surprised, however, by just how much En Fin Tid gets under your skin after a few listens.
