T In The Park 2010 - Day Three - A Review In Pictures - Balado, Near Kinross
Music lovers from around the world have been flocking to Scotland's T In The Park since its introduction in 1994. I've attended the event on numerous occasions since its beginnings at Strathclyde Country Park, photographing the fest for the third year running in 2010 at its current home in Balado.
My third and final day at T In The Park was extremely windy and a little bit wet! I started my Sunday snapping taking in a midday performance from Liverpool lass Delta Maid resulting in an amusing moment on my arrival as the security at the NME stage outnumbered the assembled audience members! I only hung around for just over one song but I could see on departing that a few more festivalgoers were making their way towards the stage so I'm sure Miss Maid would have gathered a decent audience by the time she completed her set.
The next trio of acts were my favourites of the day and certainly shook up a sleepy Sunday afternoon, with The Stranglers delivering a trio of early hits while in the photo pit, Skunk Anansie producing the most exhilarating set I took in all weekend and New York's Darwin Deez just bringing the fun!
After that it was slightly downhill for me music wise but there was still enough to keep me interested, with Empire Of The Sun producing an excellent visual performance and Goldfrapp delivering a set at King Tut's with good lighting states, always a bonus for a photographer!
I I was Kasabian bound for my fiunal act of the day, photographing their set on the main stage. I'm not really a fan of their music but they were decent enough to photograph, with Tom striking numerous poses. I had a excellent Sunday all in all and enjoyed my time shooting at T!
