Twin Atlantic - Great Divide

We've been carrying a torch for Glaswegian band Twin Atlantic since their lovely mini-album Vivarium way back in 2009, and their impressive follow up, major label debut Free in 2011, only cemented our affections. The four piece return stronger than ever with Great Divide, a powerful collection of life-affirming anthems that should propel them even further into 'The Big Time'.

The emotive 'The Ones That I Love' eases quietly in with its gentle piano chords and Sam McTrusty's comforting Scottish lilt. This is soon followed by a stellar collection of stadium-sized beauties that will get your pulse racing. 'Heart and Soul' and 'Brothers and Sisters' you will already know given their heavy radio rotation. Other numbers, like the wonderful 'Hold On' which speeds by like a souped-up car, and the moving 'Be A Kid' merely reaffirm their position as one of the most exciting young bands around today. No wonder we're so smitten. What's not to love? Their ascent seems unstoppable.
