Godsmack - The Oracle

American hard-rock quartet Godsmack return with new album The Oracle, a record which sees them plowing the same brand of groove-infused heavy-rock that they've been playing since their formation. While the band have seen record-breaking success in the States, in the UK they seem to have fallen by the wayside a little. This latest full-length is not likely to drastically change that, though for fans of Disturbed et all this will not disappoint. Plenty of solid riffery, and some particularly good vocals from Sully Erna make tracks like 'Devil's Swing' and single 'Cryin' Like A Bitch' top-notch rockers. While they may not be breaking any new ground, Godsmack are guaranteed to make you want to bang your head.
