2010 in Review #25 - CRASS
Not for us to question that it took the student fees issue to get the kids properly riled up - and not the state of perpetual war or record levels of youth unemployment - but hey, we'll take whatever minor disturbances are on offer ...
Oddly enough, the recent protests co-incided with a major reissue campaign by arch-politicos, anarchists and pranksters CRASS that couldn't have been more timely. We'd be the first to admit that there's a proportion of their back catalogue that remains largely unlistenable but they're an honest reminder of a time when music was a vehicle for debate, discussion and personal change.
Whether another generation is so inspired remains to be seen, but what better way to celebrate today than this prime slice of tofurkey?
