Orange San Diego flies the Intel flag

Orange have announced their first Intel handset. The San Diego is powered by an Atom Z2460.

The new handset is a pretty decent specification for a budget smartphone - we can expect a 8MP camera, HDMI output and a 4 inch screen. The camera has a burst mode that can shoot up to 10 pictures in under a second and can record 1080p video. It'll also pack in GPS and Bluetooth 2.1 and will support USB and HDMI connectivity.

The Orange San Diego will be available on PAYG from 6th June at a very reasonable £199 or alternatively will be free on contracts starting at £15.50.

We need your help

Running a website like The Digital Fix - especially one with over 20 years of content and an active community - costs lots of money and we need your help. As advertising income for independent sites continues to contract we are looking at other ways of supporting the site hosting and paying for content.

You can help us by using the links on The Digital Fix to buy your films, games and music and we ask that you try to avoid blocking our ads if you can. You can also help directly for just a few pennies per day via our Patreon - and you can even pay to have ads removed from the site entirely.
