HTC One Series to get Jelly Bean update

Taiwanese handset makers HTC today confirmed in a statement to AUSDroid that they will be updating their flagship One Series handsets to run the latest version of Android, v4.1 aka Jelly Bean.

"We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google's latest version of Android. At this point in time we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean."

There was no mention of whether the One V would recieve the update however this will surely be clarified in the coming weeks.

Presumably HTC will continue to use their proprietary user inteface Sense instead of Google's new Project Butter interface and again this will likely be clarified soon.
