HTC kills off planned Windows RT tablet

HTC have reportedly shelved plans for a 12" tablet running Windows RT OS. Citing concerns over high build costs and perceived lack of demand, the Taiwanese company will instead prioritise a smaller 7" version.

The move follows both Toshiba and Samsung's decision not to pursue RT projects, with Asus also reported to be getting cold feet over their version.

There are reports HTC are readying an Android version of their 7" tablet to launch around the same time.
