Google to release 32gb Nexus 7?

According to Slashgear, an alleged photo of a UK Carphone Warehouse database listing has appeared suggesting that a 32gb version of the Asus made Google Nexus 7 might be coming soon.

There's been no official confirmation from Google but additional storage space would make sense given Amazon's announcement that its new Kindle Fire HD will offer up to 32gb of on-board storage for £199, the same price as the 16gb Nexus 7.

Increased storage space certainly would certainly be nice as 16gb doesn't really cut the mustard on a device built for content delivery, but we'd like to see Google throw in a little something extra - like a microSD slot (which reportedly features on Barnes & Noble's upcoming Nook HD ) or 3G connectivity.

What seems certain is that as competition in the tablet market continues to heat up in the build up to the Christmas season, what was great value for £199 back in July is now looking a bit on the stingy side in October.
