Google simplifies storage options

Google has announced it will integrate storage between its three most data-hungry consumer platforms: Gmail, Google Drive and Google+. Meaning? 15GB of shared space among all three services.

The changes are rolling out slowly to users, and may not be reflected on your storage settings page, or your Gmail inbox as yet. Updates are also being made to the Google Drive storage page, so users can better see how their data is being used.

Google's moves come at a time when cloud computing is becoming increasingly mainstream. Last week, Adobe announced that the next version of its popular Creative Suite applications will move to a cloud-based service.
