Want to live like a Hobbit? Make sure you get planning permission first!
Charlie Hague and Megan Williams might have designed their perfect home - a Hobbit-like dwelling that would look just as good in the Shire as it does in it's real-world North Pembrokeshire location. Unfortunately, while the home might be perfect for Middle Earth, Wales planning officials weren't so keen and have ordered the couple tear down the family home they live in with their one year-old son.
Despite appealing, the couple are now facing the prospect of homelessness. Planning inspector Iwan Lloyd ruled the home harmed "the character and appearance of the countryside."
