The Mandalorian is getting some new merch - and it's all focused on 'The Child'

If you're one of the few people who has managed to avoid spoilers for The Mandalorian while it continues to be denied to UK viewers thanks to the March 2020 launch of Disney+ then you want to stop reading now.

In the run up to the launch of the series earlier this month in the few places that it can be legally watched, merchandise around at least one character was held back - that of 'The Child' (whom we now know to be a 50 year old member of a well known but sparsely seen species in the Star Wars canon). As Jon Favreau told Entertainment Tonight, “there are characters that aren’t part of the promotional material" for the DisneyPlus series, which helped avoid spoilers. “I have to thank Disney and LucasFilm, because the way the cat usually gets out of the bag with that stuff is merchandising and toy catalogues and things like that.”

However that is about to change as a bunch of new toys and apparel featuring the cutest character in that Galaxy far, far away is set to hit store shelves between now and Christmas. Whether said gubbins arrives on UK shores before the series launches is anyone's guess but given almost every UK outlet doesn't seem to care about spoiling the show for UK viewers we're pretty sure you'll be seeing products sooner rather than later.
