Authors Patrick Ness and John Green lead the charge in raising money to help refugee children

As of right now a campaign being led by author of The Rest Of Us Just Live Here, Patrick Ness has raised £31,785 for the charity Save the Children in order to help child refugees fleeing conflict in Syria and other countries. Even better, the author offered to match all donations up to £10,000.

He was quickly joined by The Fault in Our Stars author, John Green, who made a pledge to match a further £10,000.

The campaign quickly gained traction smashing through the initial targets and now both Derek Landy and Jojo Moyes have made further £10,000 pledges. That means at the time of writing they have collectively raised over £60,000. Amazing.

You can help by donating too here. And while you're at it show these authors some support and go order some of their books too - they clearly deserve it.

We need your help

Running a website like The Digital Fix - especially one with over 20 years of content and an active community - costs lots of money and we need your help. As advertising income for independent sites continues to contract we are looking at other ways of supporting the site hosting and paying for content.

You can help us by using the links on The Digital Fix to buy your films, games and music and we ask that you try to avoid blocking our ads if you can. You can also help directly for just a few pennies per day via our Patreon - and you can even pay to have ads removed from the site entirely.
