Georgia Tennant and Peter Davison to team up in next year's Big Finish spectacular
More on Big Finish
The inevitable is about to happen - Georgia Tennant will be joining her father Peter Davison as their Doctor Who characters collide for the first time. Georgia Tennant was introduced in 2008's The Doctor's Daughter which saw her playing Jenny who was created from cloning the David Tennant's Tenth Doctor's DNA. At the end of that episode we saw her head off on her own adventure which were eventually recently picked up on by Big Finish.
Now, as part of the Legacy of Time box set, which arrives next year on the audio label's twentieth anniversary, Peter Davison's Doctor will find himself crossing paths with his fictional AND real life daughter as they go head to head with a villainous timelord known as The Nine.
"It was just an irresistible idea, the thought of airing father and daughter, playing father and daughter, in our massive 20th anniversary special," producer David Richardson said. "And it's great to have Jenny back again after the enormous success of her debut on audio; "The Legacy of Time is quite possibly the biggest Doctor Who story we have ever told at Big Finish."
The Legacy of Time is made up of six stories that feature SIX incarnations of The Doctor from Tim Treloar's take on the Third Doctor right up to Paul McGann's Eighth. It also brings back Alex Kingston as River Song, Sophie Aldred as Ace, Ingrid Oliver (Osgood) and Jemma Redgrave (Kate Stewart), Katy Manning (Jo Grant) and Lisa Bowermann (Bernice Summerfield).
Tennant and Davison will head up the story Relative Time written by Matt Fitton. The full lineup of stories and writers follows:
- Lies in Ruins by James Goss
- The Split Infinitive by John Dorney
- The Sacrifice of Jo Grant by Guy Adams
- Relative Time by Matt Fitton
- The Avenues of Possibility by Jonny Morris
- Collision Course by Guy Adams
The Legacy of Time is released both as a download and on a limited edition CD set with a run of just 4,000 copies in July 2019.
