New book celebrates the Commodore 64
A book that celebrates the Commodore 64 recently went to print (after meeting it's Kickstarter goal). Funstock will be handling exclusive distribution.
Each spread features an image and a select few words. These comments vary from games facts, a mini review and even quotes from the original developer.
Contributors: Industry legends such as Gary Penn, Andrew Hewson, The Oliver Twins, Robin Hogg, Mevlut Dinc, Dan Phillips, Stephen Ian Thomson (S.I.T) and many, many more contributed to the writing of the book. This will be the first book by new publisher Bitmap Books who specialise in high-end books all about computer games.
Forward: The book will start with a foreword by legendary Sensible Software Graphic Artist, Stoo Cambridge. Stoo was heavily inspired by art on the C64 before eventually designing predominantly for the Amiga. Whilst at Sensible, Stoo created artwork for games such as Sensible Soccer, Cannon Fodder and Mega Lo Mania but it was Stoo's initial love for the C64 that inspired his career as a Graphic Artist.
