Four new Target Doctor Who novelisations coming - written by Russell T Davies, Steven Moffat, Jenny Colgan and Paul Cornell!

Four novelisations of some key Doctor Who episodes are coming from BBC Books and Penguin Randomhouse, and both of the most recent show runners are involved in writing two of the stories.

Russell T Davies will be writing the novelisation of the first episode of his run - Rose. The story that brought the Doctor back to our TV screens following it's extended hiatus and introduced both Christopher Eccleston's Ninth Doctor and Billie Piper's Rose Tyler.

Steven Moffat is adapting his 50th Anniversary story, Day of the Doctor which features Matt Smith, David Tennant and Sir John Hurt's War Doctor.

Jenny Colgan is to adapt Tennant's first story, the festive The Christmas Invasion while Paul Cornell is writing his take on Peter Capaldi's final story, the yet-to-be-broadcast Twice Upon A Time which features not only Capaldi's Doctor Number Twelve but also the First Doctor. The episode will end with the introduction of Jodie Whittaker's Doctor, so there's a good bet that character will also feature in Cornell's book.

All four novelisations will be released on 2nd April 2018.
