Geek Girl's Top 5

As a girly geek, I have to say, it's frustrating trying to track down appropriate goodies online. Far too often, t-shirts are only available in baggy men's sizes, footwear is restricted to the states (unless you're prepared to fork out for shipping fees) or the best stuff is vastly overpriced. With my new weekly posts, I plan to share my top five finds of the week. And the best part? Everything will be available in the UK, cater to every budget and fit women! I know what it's like to be in the mood to treat yourself but have restricted funds, which is why every week I will include something for all bank balance - something under £10, £25, £50, £100 and, for those fangirls to whom money is no object, something over £100. So prepare to feast your eyes on some pretty friggin' awesome movie memorabilia, geeky gadgets and gifts for gamers.

Under £10
Check out these Superman coasters from Truffle Shuffle. It's just £7.99 for a set of four. They also do Star Wars and Sonic the Hedgehog sets for the same price.

Under £25
It’s a rarity to find a fun ladies fit tee but this Hulk t-shirt (again, from Truffle Shuffle) is brilliant. And a bargain at £17.99.

Under £50
Now here’s something you don’t see everyday – Transformers leggings! I haven’t got a clue what you'd wear them with, but if you’re heading to a fancy dress party anytime soon, they’d go great with this bodysuit. The leggings are £28 and the bodysuit is – both from Topshop.

Under £100
No-one can resist a cool pair of Vans. These Spiderman shoes can instantly ‘geek up’ an otherwise boring outfit. They’re available from Schuh and will set you back just £57.

Over £100
And for this week’s piece de le resistance, I give you the world’s coolest rug. Perfect for any lounge or gaming room, this Space Invaders rug from I Love Retro is £109.

Check back next week for some more geeky goodies!
