Website offers stress-free call centre experience

Please Press 1 promise to take some of the pain out of calling call centres by giving consumers quick routes through the oft-interminable menu systems used by some of our biggest retailers, utility companies and government departments.

The new website is the brainchild of ex-IT manager Nigel Clarke, who claims to have made 12,000 calls in order to complete his project. He claims by using his site, Britons could save 1 billion minutes of time on the phone - which could be better used eating chips or fannying about on Twitter.
