Wonderful 101 Kickstarter Smashes Funding Goal

In a welcome bit of news for Platinum Games fans the cult-classic The Wonderful 101, originally released for the Nintendo WiiU, will finally be coming to the current generation. After exceeding their original modest funding goal of ¥5,425,000 (or just under €45,000) the Kickstarter continues to sail past the current stretch goals, though even more teased to follow as long as the project receives the requisite number of retweets.

Tentative box art rendering for the physical release

The Remaster of Wonderful 101 will be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC as a digital download and a physical release, with backers able to choose either reward from the numerous contribution levels. There are also tons of different rewards in addition to just the game itself, with clothing items, various Wonderful 101 themed swag, and even a reward tier that has Hideki Kamiya sending you a personalized tweet and then blocking you (something he is somewhat infamous for, though the blocking in this case is tongue-in-cheek and entirely optional if you'd like to remain friends).

The graphical updates have Wonder Red looking incredibly slick

If you consider yourself a fan of the original "unite action game" then head over to the official Kickstarter to see if any of the reward tiers suit your fancy.
