Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Demo Announced

Platforms: Microsoft Xbox 360 | PC | Sony PlayStation 3

THQ today announced that their new (and frankly excellent looking) 3rd person shooter, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is going to get a demo on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in August.

The PC and Xbox 360 will be graced with the demo first, on August 23rd, with the PS3 demo following just a day later on August 24th.

PC owners who pre-ordered using steam will get access from the 18th of August, and Steam will also be offering a very special Warhammer 40,000 bundle deal during this period.

Finally, if you are a member of the 'Honour Guard' you will get access 24hrs before public release on the 23rd. For details of how to join check http://www.spacemarine.com/forum.

The demo will contain two key games areas, here are some further details from the THQ press release....

"The Space Marine demo features two very different areas of the game. The first pits the player against an Ork horde outside the gates of a munitions factory. Armed with six devastating weapons, including the iconic bolter and lethal chainsword, the player will get to experience Space Marine's seamless mix of melee and ranged combat first hand as they take on the rampaging invaders. The second area gives players a taste of the exhilarating Jump Pack sequences where the game's hero-Captain Titus-takes to the skies to rain death from above."
