Hugely popular PC management sim, Two Point Hospital, is finally being rushed to the ER for a “late 2019” console release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and (praise the video game gods) Nintendo Switch, Two Point Studios has announced.
The spiritual successor to classic hospital sim Theme Hospital, Two Point Studios’ Two Point Hospital released on PC in August 2018 to critical acclaim and a successful launch.
Check out the console reveal trailer below.
Two Point Hospital sees players assume the role of the hospital administrator tasked with building a hospital empire. Build your hospital, keep your staff happy, save your many ill patients, and make sufficient cash to sustain the whole operation. It’s a riot, with some hilarious moments.
The console release will receive all post-launch features that were added to the game following its release on PC last year, including the interior designer update, copy-and-paste room layouts, and character customisation. Additionally, the recent ‘Bigfoot’ and ‘Pebberley Island’ expansions, bringing new challenges in a snowy region and tropical region respectively, will also be included in the console release. That means the console version will launch with 21 hospitals and 119 illnesses.
Importantly, for a title built for mouse and keyboard control, the developers have confirmed that the controls for the console versions have been fully rebuilt and “brilliantly work for playing on the go or with a controller in hand.”
Two Point Hospital will launch sometime later this year on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. We’ll keep you updated here on The Digital Fix with all the updates on Two Point Hospital’s console releases.
