Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD confirmed - coming to Switch, PS4, Xbox One in October and PC this winter

Following rumours last week that a new Super Monkey Ball game was on the horizon it has now been confirmed that Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is set to get the remake treatment. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is coming to Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Switch on 29th October with a PC version coming at some point during the winter.

Whilst the Wii game was not as warmly received as previous Super Monkey Ball games most criticism was centred on the motion controls rather than the gameplay itself. Hopefully if these issues can be addressed with a conventional control method on the current generation of consoles then we might be in for a decent game.

Originally released for the Nintendo Wii in 2006, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD brings all the fun and chaos of the Monkey Ball series to modern consoles. Complete with updated graphics, optimised control schemes for each platform, a brand-new mini-game Decathalon mode where you complete a set of 10 mini-games in a row, and online leaderboards, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is perfect for new fans of any age, as well as the most seasoned Monkey Ball series veterans.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD launches on October 29, 2019 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One for £34.99. Physical pre-orders are now available. A Steam release is planned for Winter 2019.
