Platforms: All

Update - yes, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is now confirmed for release on 14th September on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC. Check out the teaser above!

We can also confirm that Xbox One X owners will get added bells and whistles with an enhanced release on that platform. We're expecting a resolution bump, HDR and other improvements on Microsoft's lead console.

Square Enix® today announced Shadow of the Tomb Raider™ will be available in six months for the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Windows PC/Steam®. All platforms will launch simultaneously on September 14, 2018.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be unveiled on April 27, 2018. Fans around the world can visit for a chance to play the game and meet the developers at one of three exclusive reveal events.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the third game in the rebooted series now has a likely release date thanks to some source code on the teaser site revealing that the game looks set for release worldwide on 14th September.

While the official announcement is expected tomorrow, the teaser website is up here with a countdown to 6am PDT tomorrow. Unfortunately, the code behind the site seems to have revealed both the date of release and the platforms we can expect to see it arrive on.

While it has since changed, eagle eyed investigators found the following line of text in the site source:

"Shadow of The Tomb Raider is the climatic finale of Lara's origin story. Available September 14th 2018"

The code also listed that the game was coming to Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC  - so no time-limited exclusives this time around. We're expecting more information tomorrow and then a further larger announcement to follow on 27th April.
