PlayStation Plus games for August available to download right now

The free PlayStation Plus titles for the month of August are now available for download on the PlayStation Store.

August's free games are both absolute scorchers, especially for the grand 'ol price of £0 (obviously, your subscription certainly isn't free!). This month, PS Plus members will receive WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4, with the former being fully playable with your PSVR headset.

Let's take a look at the two titles in question...

WipEout Omega Collection

WipEout Omega Collection brings the beloved high-speed sci-fi racing series to the PlayStation 4. Collecting WipEout 2048, WipEout HD, and the HD Fury expansion, the Omega Collection is a comprehensive package of blisteringly fast racing goodness. What's more, the entire game is playable with PlayStation VR, just in case you weren't motion sick enough.

Sniper Elite 4

If, like me, you've been ogling this title through sale after sale after sale since its release, you'll be very pleased by its inclusion in the PS Plus games for August. Sniper Elite 4 sees you, a (pretty sadistic) sniper, hunting down Nazi's across giant maps to rake in the highest score possible. If you're asking the question, "is this the game where you can snipe Nazi testicles from a mile away in glorious slow motion x-ray vision?", then I am pleased to confirm it is. You can hunt Nazi's with your mates too, with 2-4 player co-op, and competitive 12 player multiplayer modes.

We recently reviewed the release of Sniper Elite V2 Remastered, be sure to check that out right here.

With last month's PS Plus offering giving subscribers Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain, and August bringing the heat too, we are very excited to find out what September will bring!
