Planet Coaster getting Ghostbusters DLC, Dan Aykroyd back to voice Ray Stantz

Platforms: PC

If you have been craving some ghost-busting video game action then Frontier Developments may have just the announcement for you: Planet Coaster is getting an expansive Ghostbusters content pack on PC.

The DLC, which Frontier say is the "most ambitious content pack for Planet Coaster to date", features a new story scenario, new gameplay mechanics, new rides, characters and scenery "straight from the classic 1984 movie".

Dan Aykroyd, who played Raymond Stantz in Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II, is returning to voice the iconic character in the Planet Coaster DLC as a mentor for players. William Atherton, who played antagonist Walter Peck will also reprise his role in the game.

Fans of Ghostbusters will be feeling nostalgic as the DLC will seemingly be stuffed with fan-service. Fan-favourite ghosts and characters will make appearances throughout the story, including Slimer, Stay Puft, and the ECTO-1 car. The Ghostbusters Experience is a brand new interactive dark ride, that sees players step into the shoes of a Ghostbuster to "bust ghosts with their particle throwers and log their high score".

No release date for Planet Coaster: Ghostbusters has been announced, but Frontier say it will be "available soon for PC".
