Nintendo accidentally reveals Super Smash Bros. Ultimate stage builder mode

In a video posted on Nintendo's official YouTube channel yesterday, a blurry image of a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate menu screen revealed a previously unannounced Stage Builder mode.

Version 3.0 of the Nintendo Switch brawler is expected to be fully revealed and released this month, so the Stage Builder mode is very likely to be included in that update.

The video is a simple Super Smash Bros. Ultimate commercial, and has not been removed despite the clearly unintentional reveal of the Stage Builder mode. It seems Nintendo is not too concerned with the mistake. You can see the Stage Builder mode icon on the menu at the 0:01 second mark.

This is not the first time the series has included a Stage Builder mode, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. Wii U have also both previously had the mode.

Stage Builder mode has previously allowed players to use certain items and platforms to, you guessed it, build their own stages to battle on.

Fans are also still waiting for the first DLC character to get a release date. Persona 5's Joker was revealed at The Game Awards in December, and it was announced that the character would be available before the end of April 2019.
