Minecraft brings Switch and Xbox players together with Cross-Play!

Platforms: Nintendo Switch | Microsoft Xbox One

Microsoft and Nintendo are clearly not willing to let Sony monopolise all the cross-play column inches - while the Playstation maker is catching heat for preventing Nintendo Switch owners sharing their Fortnite accounts, Nintendo have just announced that the Switch version of Minecraft will add cross-play support to allow Xbox and Switch players to play the game together - surviving and creating regardless of which console they're playing on.

Sony - you're playing catch up again and cross-play is becoming one of the biggest movements in gaming. If you let this opportunity slip through your fingers now you'll be alienating your core supporters.

We need your help

Running a website like The Digital Fix - especially one with over 20 years of content and an active community - costs lots of money and we need your help. As advertising income for independent sites continues to contract we are looking at other ways of supporting the site hosting and paying for content.

You can help us by using the links on The Digital Fix to buy your films, games and music and we ask that you try to avoid blocking our ads if you can. You can also help directly for just a few pennies per day via our Patreon - and you can even pay to have ads removed from the site entirely.
