Fortnite gets a 60fps upgrade on Android

Supports three handsets at launch

Fortnite players on Android will now be able to play the game at a blistering 60fps on handsets powerful to handle the increased demands that the higher frame rate brings.

There are currently three handsets able to support the increased framerate – the Honor View20, the US version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and the Huawei Mate 20 X.

On top of this, owners of the Honor View20 will get access to an exclusive skin – the HONOR GUARD.

The Honor View20 is available on contract in the UK now and includes the following features:

  • A 6.4inch display with in-screen camera, eliminating the notch and giving gamers a more immersive viewing experience;
  • The world’s leading 7 nanometer chipset, the Kirin 980 AI, powering the View20
  • Graphics technology including the powerful Mali-G76 GPU and GPU Turbo 2.0, a groundbreaking hardware-software integration and graphics processing acceleration technology that optimises the mobile gaming experience;
  • Triple Antenna Wi-Fi, keeping you connected to Wi-Fi even when holding the phone horizontally and accidentally covering the receivers with your hands;
  • Liquid Cooling technology, a highly efficient cooling system which dissipates heat within the phone and, in laboratory tests, has been shown to reduce the phone’s temperature by up to 5°C when gaming or watching videos;
  • A 4,000mAh battery that will assist in longer between charges so more gameplay time
