Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain replace PES 2019 in July PlayStation Plus line-up

In a bizarre, and unprecedented turn of events, Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 has been replaced in the already announced July PlayStation Plus line-up of games by Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain.

Announced in an update by the PlayStation Blog, there is no explanation for the switch-up, only an apology for any inconvenience. While PES 2019 would have made for a great free PS Plus title, Quantic Dream's Detroit: Become Human Digital Deluxe Edition (which includes Quantics Dreams' Heavy Rain) is one of 2018's big PlayStation 4 exclusives, so it's a decent swap.

PlayStation provided a description of Detroit: Become Human:

In Detroit: Become Human, discover what it really means to be human in a powerful, emotional journey made of choice and consequences. Set in Detroit City during the year 2036, the city has been revitalized by the invention and introduction of Androids into everyday life. But when Androids start behaving as if they are alive, events begin to spin out of control. Step into the roles of the story’s pivotal three playable characters, each with unique perspectives as they face their new way of life.

Heavy Rain will be replaced by Beyond Two Souls in multiple countries, check out the PS Blog to find out which are affected.

Horizon Chase Turbo remains on the PS Plus line-up for July, with the games becoming available to download for subscribers from July 2nd.
