Days Gone has topped the all-format UK sales charts following its debut on Friday, becoming the biggest launch of the year so far in the UK based on physical sales.
Having the biggest physical launch of the year is impressive when you consider that Days Gone is only available on one system, whereas The Division 2, Anthem, Far Cry: New Dawn, and Resident Evil 2 all launched on multiple platforms.
Mortal Kombat 11 couldn’t quite match the PlayStation 4-exclusive, with NetherRealm’s gruesome fighter settling for second place following its launch on April 23rd. Check out our review right here.
Last week’s number one, World War Z, saw a drop to tenth place just a week after launch. Bear in mind, however, that digital sales are not tracked, so while World War Z‘s physical sales may have taken a hit, it is unclear whether that was replicated by its digital performance. The official Twitter account for World War Z announced that over one million players had faced the zombie hordes in its first week on sale worldwide, so the game appears to be a hit regardless.
Meanwhile, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to sell very well for Nintendo, dropping two places from number four to number six.
Take a look at the full top ten below, data courtesy of Ukie. Again, digital sales are not tracked so this data is not representative of all UK game sales.
