Close to the Sun – Limited Collectors Edition Announced
Close to the Sun launches next month on PlayStation 4, XBOX One and Nintendo Switch next month. With its imminent release on the horizon, a shiny new limited collectors edition has been announced and it looks absolutely fantastic.
To celebrate the upcoming multi-platform release, this collectors edition is limited to 1000 copies and is available to pre-order from the Wired Productions Store.
As well as the Collector’s Edition, publisher Wired Productions and developer Storm in a Teacup have teamed up with Tesla coil music video maestro, Fabrício H. Franzoli, to create a pulsating rendition of Porcelain Pill’s memorable single: Close to the Sun. Below is a video of the single, its certainly an eerie number and fits the style of the game very well.
Close to the Sun really looks fantastic, it gives us some serious Bioshock vibes and that is never a bad thing. Here are some game details from the collectors edition announcement.
Grounded in an alternative 19th Century where famed inventor and futurist Nikola Tesla was able to fulfil his potential and change the world forever, Close to the Sun sees players step aboard the Helios, a colossal vessel for scientific research, steeped in horror and mystery. As the heroine, Rose, players find themselves walking the massive area looking for their lost sister on the majestic, yet mysterious, ship created by Tesla. Where is Ada and what happened? Grand halls stand empty. The stench of rotting flesh lingers in the air. Silence. A single word is painted across the entrance… QUARANTINE!
Close to the Sun launches on consoles on October the 29th, we certainly cannot wait to get stuck in and hopefully it will be with one of those lovely collectors editions.
