Announced at Gamescom 2019, the Alpha test is open to anyone and everyone with a PS4 and an internet connection, and is exclusively focussed on the 2v2 game type. PlayStation 4 owners might have the chance to get in on the action early, but everyone else won't have too long to wait to get their fill, as Activision previously released details of closed and open beta's for all platforms coming in September.
Gamescom didn't only bring news of the Alpha test for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans, Nvidia also released a trailer showing off real-time ray tracing in the game on PC, utilising the company's GeForce RTX GPU.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25th.
