Borderlands Sequel Announced

Platforms: Microsoft Xbox 360 | PC | Sony PlayStation 3

Gearbox Software and 2K Games have today announced that Borderlands 2 is in development. The sequel to the highly rated 2009 original is set to land on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC sometime in the middle of next year.


Fans will have their first opportunity to see Borderlands 2 at Gamescom 2011 in Cologne which runs from August 17th to August 21st. Fans in the United States meanwhile will get their first glimpse of Borderlands 2 at PAX Prime in Seattle which runs from August 26th to August 28th.

2k Games and Gearbox are giving little away yet about Borderlands 2 but they say it will feature new characters, skills, environments, enemies, weapons and equipment as well as an ambitious new story set in the unexplored areas of Pandora.
