Assassin's Creed Odyssey coming to Switch (via the cloud AND in Japan only)

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

While we got loads of great announcements in last night's Nintendo Direct  one thing that we didn't get was news that Switch owners would be able to play Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Unfortunately, those of us who don't live in Japan won't be able to, but Japanese players will be able to play the next instalment of the franchise on their handhelds via the cloud.

Similar to the way Onlive worked, Nintendo have already released Resident Evil 7 this way, but that has never made it outside of the company's home country, and chances are Assassin's Creed Odyssey will be the same. But this is an exciting development for those who want to play games with a graphical fidelity close to that of the PS4 and Xbox One on their handhelds.

If we hear news of any steps to bring this Cloud gaming to the rest of the world you can be sure we'll be posting it here immediately!
