Game/Gamestation Lose More Titles

Platforms: Android

Another day and another blow to the quickly fading high street behemoth Game with more news of titles that will not be released to game for sale. The difficulties that Game have faced over the last few weeks have been well publicized with Mass Effect 3 not being supplied for sale by EA. The most damning result of that scenario is that despite Game not stocking the much anticipated and lauded sci-fi epic it still remained to sell more on its opening weekend than the opening weekend of Mass Effect 1 & 2 combined. This has thrown into serious question the actual need for the existence of Game as other retailers have picked up any slack, if any, left by Game's lack of stock.

The situation for Game became ever increasingly worse today as Capcom announced that it would not be supplying Game with stock of PS3 and Xbox 360 copies of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Capcom issued a statement to Eurogamer earlier today stating, "Further to the recent announcement concerning Street Fighter x Tekken and Asura's Wrath, Capcom must confirm that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, scheduled for release on Friday, 23rd March, will not be stocked by GAME or Gamestation - either in their retail outlets or on their online stores operating in the UK and Ireland."

To compound issues further Tecmo Koei have also released a statement indicating that it will not be supplying Game with Ninja Gaiden 3 or Warriors Orochi 3. They have informed anyone, "...who have already pre-ordered Ninja Gaiden 3 and Warriors Orochi 3 are kindly asked to re-order their copies from another retailer." The Game saga trucks on and the situation is changing by the hour but it is increasingly becoming an issue of when the retailer folds rather than if.
