Back to the beginning... Silent Hill HD Collection

Platforms: Sony PlayStation 3 | Microsoft Xbox 360

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has confirmed its two-game Silent Hill HD Collection, will be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on March 29th. The publisher has also unveiled a teaser trailer for the eagerly-anticipated compilation.

The Silent Hill series is set in a multiverse comprising reality and an alternate dimension or two. The games are set in the eponymous town and is a true survival horror series, with lashings of literary influence. Characters are normal everyday people like you and I, rather than the more professional exponents of other similar series.

Silent Hill HD Collection comprises the second and third games from the series, both of which were previously released for PlayStation 2. As is the fashion these days with re-releases (thankfully) the updates have complete HD makeovers with a new recording of the soundtrack including all dialogue in order to reunite the original vocal artists. The included version of Silent Hill 2 also features the exclusive stages from the original Director’s Cut supplemental release.

KONAMI has unveiled a 30-second trailer showcasing the revisited games and this is shared below:
