This Weeks Charts: Zumba just keeps on dancing.
Two months in and still performing strongly Zumba Fitness: Join the Party has retained the top spot of the UK charts. Its been a great few months for 505 Games and with a 16% increase over last weeks sales it seems that the performance is as healthy as the people who purchase the game want to be, it’ll be interesting to see if it can keep up the pace in this unprecedented run.
Dirt 3 sees a respectable jump from 6th to 2nd place this week, and in a top ten that seems largely built around the casual end of the market its appears quite the achievement. Also flying the flag for what might be considered the more credible end of the spectrum we have L.A Noire still grasping on at the edges of the top ten holding in at number nine again this week.
Movie based tie-ins are holding onto much of the space in the charts with Cars 2 in the top three and Harry Potter making two appearances in 7th and 8th, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two sits above its counterpart Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and the success of the former has undoubtedly helped the latter re-renter the top ten this week.
It’s unlikely that the charts will take too much of a shaking up over the next week or so but with Deus Ex 3 on the horizon and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike approaching in the latter part of this month things should start to get interesting.
