Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to PC in November AND will be a Google Stadia launch title

Platforms: PC

Rockstar have confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 is set for release on PC on 5th November, making it the first Red Dead game to get a non-console release.

Rumours have persisted for some time that the game was heading to PC - data miners had uncovered lots of PC references and options that weren't applicable to the console releases and the recent Australian classification of the game was the most concrete evidence ahead of the official announcement.

Players who pre-order the game through the new Rockstar Games Launcher when it becomes available to do so on 9th October will get a number of additional bonuses. Anyone buying via the launcher will get a free upgrade to the premium editions of the game and an added discount on the Special and Ultimate Editions.

Other bonuses for launcher pre-orders are:

  • Outlaw Survival Kit for Story Mode
  • War Horse for Story Mod
  • Treasure Map for Story Mode
  • Cash Bonus for Story Mode
  • 50 Gold Bars for Red Dead Online

And, if that's not enough justification, if you order through the launcher before 22nd October then you can also pick one of these games for free!

  • Grand Theft Auto 3
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
  • Bully: Scholarship Edition
  • L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition
  • Max Payne 3: The Complete Edition

Red Dead Redemption 2 and by extension Red Dead Online will also be available through other digital storefronts including the Epic Games Store, Greenman Gaming and the Humble Store. It'll launch on Steam in December and will also be a Google Stadia launch title.
