Aloy vs. Spider-Man? On the PS5? It could happen in the rumoured PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2

Platforms: Sony PlayStation 5

A supposed Capcom employee has leaked information on a follow-up to the (let's be honest) poor Sony attempt at taking on Super Smash Bros. The brawler that featured Sony Playstation characters unearthed some pretty obscure names to duke it out but since then Sony has worked hard on its first party slate to the point that it might actually give us something a bit more recognisable.

The information, which was posted to the internet hate cesspit 4chan (no - we're not linking to it - but you can see a copy on reddit here) suggested that the roster could include Spider-Man, Aloy from Horizon: Zero Dawn, Kratos from God of War and also Spyro and Crash.

The original game featured the likes of Parappa the Rapper and Sackboy (of Little Big Planet fame) amongst others...

There are allegedly 24 characters being included at launch:

  • Nathan drake
  • Kratos
  • Sackboy
  • Ratchet and Clank
  • Jak and Daxter
  • Spider Man
  • Aloy
  • Helghast (from Killzone)
  • Crash Bandicoot
  • Spyro the Dragon
  • Lara Croft
  • Jill Valentine
  • Sir Daniel Fortesque
  • Kat
  • Dante
  • Parappa The Rapper
  • Ellie (The Last of Us)
  • Delsin Rowe ( inFamous)
  • Cloud ( Final Fantasy VII Remake )
  • Solid Snake
  • Ryu
  • Chun Li

The suggestion is that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2 could be a Playstation 5 launch title - and it could be a great way of getting as many of their hit characters onto the platform ahead of their inevitable appearance in their own games going forward.
