Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 has something for those Daley Thompson's Decathlon fans - retro 2D events

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

Nintendo Switch owners are shortly going to be able to take a step back in time with the upcoming release of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 thanks to the inclusion of retro-style 2D events.

Alongside the more flashy 3D graphic options you'd expect, there is the option to compete side on or top down in a variety of events featuring the original Mario and Sonic character sprites in glorious 8/16-bit.

It's sure to bring back the memory of the keyboard destroying joy of playing the timeless Hyper Sports or Daley Thompson's Decathlon on the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64!
